Hot Water Boilers

Hot water boilers are essential components inside our home which are used to heat the water. There are a number of different types of hot water boilers each of which work and use a slightly different principle. There are many alternative fuels that you will need to consider when choosing which hot water boiler you want to install.

Natural Gas

If you have mains natural gas available then this will be one of the most popular options available to you. Natural gas is one of the cheapest forms of heating water and the boilers are also very dependable. Fitting these is however often more expensive, especially if you don't already have gas coming into your property.

Electric hot water heaters are very common because they are so easy to install. The benefit of electric heaters is that you don't need to get any extra utilities into your property. However this will be more expensive over the long run because electricity is a more expensive form of heating.

Storage or On-Demand

There are two types of heaters which can be powered by either electricity or gas. These are storage water heaters, or on demand heaters. On demand heaters will heat up water as and when it is needed, whereas storage heaters will keep a large body of water at a constant temperature.
